Emily Madsen - Certified Personal Trainer, NASM

Emily MadsenEmily is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She received her BS in Sports Medicine from John Brown University. She is also certified in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS).  In addition to offering personal training, Emily teaches our Pilates classes at Trinity. Originally from Tulsa, OK, Emily played basketball for John Brown University as a 4-year starting point guard.

After tearing her ACL in high school and rehabilitating aggressively to continue pursuing a basketball scholarship, Emily was released from therapy but lacking in the speed, agility, strength, and confidence necessary at the collegiate level. A personal trainer helped her make those gains to return playing. This experience opened her eyes to the need for personal trainers to work together with physical therapists to see the patient's full recovery. Whether your goals are centered on athletic performance, fitness, weight loss, or functional strength, Emily is here to help you.

Outside of work, Emily spends her time with her husband, Steven, and son, Noah.  They enjoy leading the College & Young Adult ministries at Bay Leaf Baptist Church. You can also find them watching and playing sports, spending time on the lake or in the mountains, and serving their community.
