Trinity Wellness Center

Luke and Emily Buffum

Luke and Emily are the owners and founders of Trinity Wellness Center.  They started the practice in January 2002 in the hopes of providing quality care in an old-fashioned, family-style atmosphere. Luke and Emily believe strongly in one-on-one individualized care and providing manual therapy and custom home exercise programs for their patients.  They feel that time spent with a physical therapist should focus on patient education, manual interventions, and the development of a personalized home program. Luke and Emily are very proud of their staff and take great pride in their skill level and the fact that all therapists at Trinity Wellness share the same philosophy of care.

Luke received his Bachelor's degree in Zoology from NC State University, where he also participated on the men's basketball team.  He graduated in 1998 and continued on to physical therapy school at the University of NC at Chapel Hill.  He graduated with his Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000.  Emily earned both her Bachelor's in Athletic Training and Master of Physical Therapy degrees from UNC, graduating in 1998 and 2000 respectively. During undergraduate school, Emily participated as a varsity cheerleader and a student athletic trainer.  The Buffums both specialize in the areas of orthopedics and sports medicine.

In addition to working at Trinity Wellness, Luke is also part of the NCSU sports medicine team.  He coordinates the long-term rehab for the football, track and field, and cross country teams. Emily is currently focused on being a mom and providing administrative support for the clinic.  She is also pursuing certifications in therapeutic pilates and yoga and looks forward to being able to offer these programs to Trinity Wellness clients in the near future.

Luke and Emily have four beautiful girls, Ginny Grace, Caroline, Victoria, and Amelia Claire. They enjoy spending time together as a family and love outdoor activities and taking weekend getaways when possible. The Buffum's are members of Bayleaf Baptist Church and view Trinity Wellness as a way of reaching out to their community.
